Blockade missions require the player characters to prevent enemies from reaching an objective zone and extracting.
VICTORY CONDITIONS:
- PC Victory: Two thirds of the deployed enemies are destroyed or otherwise prevented from reaching and extracting in the Objective Zone.
- Enemy Victory: A third or more of their number extracts in the Objective Zone.
- Special: If the PCs prevent all enemies from extracting, they gain increased rewards.
ENEMY FORCES:
The GM should prepare enemy forces of a similar size to a normal encounter, with the addition of 2 or 3 additional grunts. Only half the forces begin on the field, with the rest being held back as reinforcements.
DEPLOYMENT:
This sitrep can be ran as either an exposed blockade or a hidden ambush. If ran as a blockade the PCs deploy first. If ran as an ambush, the enemy deploys first. If the PCs perform well in a narrative scene in which they plan their ambush, they can start the combat Hidden.
REINFORCEMENTS:
At the start of the second round, the GM should deploy all the remaining NPCs into the Enemy Deployment Zone / Ingress Zone.
EXTRACTION
While in the OZ, NPCs can extract as a free action at the end of their turn. Extracted NPCs are removed from the battlefield and immediately count as 1 point towards enemy victory.
