The benevolent among them focus their efforts on the solving of rodent-related problems but many fall prey to greed and begin using the very vermin they are trained to kill as effective tools of murder, spreading the sicknesses they once helped prevent. Whether they act to help or hurt, Rat-Catchers are mistrusted travellers and experts in the slaughter of smaller creatures.

We’ve Launched A Youtube Channel!
We've got some exciting news today! We recently launched a Youtube channel, Veneon Reforged. The intent of this channel is to help DMs learn to homebrew their own D&D content. To start with we'll be covering all the various things you might be interested in homebrewing in broad 'tips' videos. This will be things like Monsters, Magic Items, Races, Subclasses etc. Once we've covered these themes, we'll begin getting more detailed and talking about specific aspects in greater detail!
5e Conditions Expansion!
In this post I'll be presenting some new conditions that are interesting to use but not so brutal they ruin a players fun, as well as reworking the poisoned condition to match the thematic nature of it.
Rogue Archetype – The Vulture
Vultures are masters of taking the discarded remains of others and finding a way to make them into useful boons that help them overwhelm their foes with unpredictable changes to their fighting style.
Playable Race – Half-Dwarf
Half-Dwarf are the children of a Dwarf and Human pairing. They are the rarest race to find within the Hammerlands due to the rarity in which the two peoples mix but in the event a child is born, they are blessed with a merging of the gifts of both their parents.

Disaster Walker rangers are experts in traversing the most dangerous of landscapes and dealing with natural disasters on a near daily basis. They are trained to make accurate predictions of the unpredictable and always be ready to turn a problem into an opportunity.
Playable Race – Dwarf (Dark Elf)
Despite the usual connotations, Dwarves are the largest race in the Hammerlands. The spend their days beneath the mountains crafting art and magic items, striving to find the perfect expression of their skill.

Monk Archetype – Way of the Submerged Soul
In the endless rains of the Floodplains, escaping the watery environment is not an option. One must embrace the water or suffer. No one is more connected to the aquatic nature of the Floodplains than the submerged soul Monks.
Playable Race – Valkor
Valkor are the rare offspring of a Valkyrie and a Norn. It is uncommon for a Valkyrie to mingle with Humans and even rarer for them to lay together but if they do, there is a small chance of the Valkyrie falling pregnant. Due to its inability to traverse their floating city homeland, the mothers almost always leave the child in the care of the father.
Artificer Archetype – Lockout
It was the Dwarves of Nidavellir that first mastered the art of imbuing mundane objects with magic, and in doing so birthed the first magic items. Not long after, the Artificer became a popular profession within Dwarven culture. Many focused on their talent for creating constructs or magical weapons yet as time went on, and their skills progressed, a new variation of the Artificer emerged, the Lockout.
Playable Race – Valkyrie
The Valkyrie are winged warrior women. Gifted with flight and the divine blessing of Thor, the Valkyrie watch over the realm from high above its surface, preferring to keep to themselves whenever they can.
Fighter Archetype – Thunderer
Throughout the realm of the Hammerlands, individuals are born with volatile, thunderous magic trapped within their bodies. Many of these people die young, overtaken by the errant energy in a moment of danger. Yet some learn to gain a semblance of control. These, are the Thunderers.
Magic Item – Dragonfall
Very few individuals across the Realms can claim to wield a weapon so notorious as Dragonfall. Forged by the Dwarves of Nidavellir and pasted through generations of Norn, the battleaxe Dragonfall is the Hammerlands answer to the destructive, invasive dragons that have torn their home asunder.
