Playable Race – Fenfir

The Fenfir are the offspring of the mighty wolf Fenrir. They are powerful wolf-like humanoids and are often mistaken for werewolves when travelling foreign realms. While they are perfectly capable of using weaponry, many prefer to rely on their sharp claws in battle. Bestial and Cunning Fenfir are tall, lithe wolf-like humanoids. They stand just... Barbarian Subclass – Path of the Burnt

Barbarians of the Burnt experience a rage so wrathful and pure that it manifests in a painful destructive heat which they use to scorch and fry their enemies. While all barbarians embrace their race in order to surpass their mortal limits, those that follow the Path of the Burnt take this to another level. Their... Continue Reading →

Sorcerer Archetype – Kraken Bloodline

Sorcerers imbued with the fearsome might of the Kraken can take on terrifying forms with which to inflict great pain onto their enemies. Through unrivalled mastery of cold-based magic and terrifying tentacle attacks, a Kraken Bloodline sorcerer can become a terrifying foe in both melee and magical situations.

Playable Race – Harpy

While most races within the Oceans of Contest live in near-constant conflict, the Harpies keep comparatively peaceful lives within the jungles of the realm. They choose no side in the wars of the realm, instead helping or hindering as they see fit. Some Harpies do of course leave their nest and find a more permanent place in the societies of humanity, but for the majority, the jungle territory of their small community will be a permanent home.

Playable Race – Human (Herculean)

While the Western lands of the Oceans of Contest are home to piracy and lawlessness, the Northern and Eastern territories are ruled by the Herculean Humans of Athens. Order, intellect, and democracy are the guiding principles of this proud race of scholars and warriors.

Mounts of the Floodplains

For the people that live in the Floodplains, the most common form of vehicle is either a simple wicker raft or a small boat. There aren't many beasts that could be easily domesticated on a large scale to act as mounts. This doesn't mean, however, that a brave (or foolish) adventure cannot tame one of the many powerful creatures of the Floodplains. Mounts are rare, but it's not unbelievable to think that the bravest heroes of the realm could be sighted astride a fearsome beast.

We’ve Launched A Youtube Channel!

We've got some exciting news today! We recently launched a Youtube channel, Veneon Reforged. The intent of this channel is to help DMs learn to homebrew their own D&D content. To start with we'll be covering all the various things you might be interested in homebrewing in broad 'tips' videos. This will be things like Monsters, Magic Items, Races, Subclasses etc. Once we've covered these themes, we'll begin getting more detailed and talking about specific aspects in greater detail!

Bard Archetype – College of Sea Shanties

Bards of the Collage of Sea Shanties are practiced in motivating their crewmates to performing their best and being troublesome annoyances on the battlefield. Through singing well-known shanties, they can give their allies the chance to join in and receive the benefits of comradery and courage.

Creatures of Veneon – Aquatalis

Aquatalis come in innumerable forms, each cursed with the features of aquatic fauna. This can manifest in varying degrees of intensity. One Aquatalis may appear predominantly human aside from a large swordfish blade in place of their hand, another however may have lost its limbs entirely, instead sporting a hollow torso that houses a large eel. The scale of an Aquatalis is dependent on the creature it has been merged with. A whale-based Aquatalis might grow to monstrous heights while a shrimp-themed Aquatalis never grows more than a handful of feet tall.

Playable Race – Human (Vagabond)

The Oceans of Contest are home to a large population of humans. These come in 2 primary factions; the Vagabonds that live under the protection of the 3 Pirate Lords, and the Herculean's of Athens. The Vagabonds live chaotic lives plundering and pillaging the territories of fellow humans and have adapted to excel on the high seas.

5e Conditions Expansion!

In this post I'll be presenting some new conditions that are interesting to use but not so brutal they ruin a players fun, as well as reworking the poisoned condition to match the thematic nature of it.

Warlock Archetype – Pirate Lord

Warlocks that make a Pirate Lord their patron are blessed with powerful tools from which to channel their dark magics. Dark, magical pistols, nefarious magics and the dreaded black spot are all powerful tools that a Pirate Lord Warlock can utilise to terrorise their foes.
