The Oceans of Contest are mostly civilised, despite the lawlessness of its oceans. Its people can choose from a variety of respectable jobs and live comfortable lives. However, due to travel being generally unsafe, even the mildest of citizens must learn to defend themselves.
War Machines of the Dwarves (Frost Elves)
The Dwarves (Frost Elves) of Frostwoods are some of the most prolific craftsmen of weaponry and war machines in all of Veneon. While some Dwarves commit their talents to sword or shield, some choose to focus their efforts on the creation of fearsome constructs that are ridden by brave (or foolish) warriors.
Playable Race – Bloodborne
Bloodborne are elementals created by sites of intense, bloody violence. Due to the nature of the Realm, Bloodflow has an abundance of this race and is one of the few locations across Veneon where they're populated enough to form communities. Much like other elementals, their bodies and motives are alien to most.
Artificer Archetype – Mechanimancer
Among the scholars of Mount Olympus, it is a common occurrence to build a small, helpful construct to act as a simple assistant during research. Some artificers, have taken this practice further and have designed powerful, multipurpose construct beasts that are used in combat and exploration.
Playable Race – Halfling (Vampiric)
Vampiric Halflings are thought to be the origin of the vampire infliction that can be found throughout the other Realms. This race of short, squat humanoids possess an unnatural strength and speed for their size and rely solely on the blood of living creatures for sustenance.
Playable Race – Eladrin (Blood)
The Eladrin are an elegant, fey race of humanoids that live extremely long lives and have a magical connection to nature. The Blood Eladrin find their connection to nature manifest in the form of blood manipulation, both of themselves and of other living creatures.

The Goblin subspecies known as 'Paddlers' are the most populated race in the floodplains. They live upon large floating cities that roam the landscape in search of new food, which is subsequently ravaged in moments by the starved population.

The Lizardmen of Sobek's Brood are a violent race of crocodile-like humanoids. They are talented aquatic ambush predators that rely on their physical talents to overwhelm and tear apart their prey.
Ranger Archetype – Rat-Catcher
The Rat-Catchers are a sinister collection of rangers, commonly found in Void. The benevolent among them focus their efforts on the solving of rodent-related problems but many fall prey to greed and begin using the very vermin they are trained to kill as effective tools of murder, spreading the sicknesses they once helped prevent. Whether they act to help or hurt, Rat-Catchers are mistrusted travellers and experts in the slaughter of smaller creatures.
Wizard Archetype – School of the Solar Flair
It is well known that the sun holds immense power and the wizards of the School of the Solar Flair are experts in harnessing this energy. Though highly volatile, these wizards train endlessly to fight for some semblance of control over the unmatched burning fury of the sun.
Playable Race – Ratatoskr
The Ratatoskr are a small, elusive race of humanoid rodents that live in large, hidden communities. They delight in causing trouble and can be either dangerously mischievous or unpredictably helpful.

Hosts are a melee-focused martial class that rely on turning their once deadly sickness into a powerful boon. More than most classes, the subclass you choose heavily influences the playstyle of each Host.

The Dwarves of Frostwoods (also known as Frost Elfs) are tall, imposing crafters and arcane experimenters. Unlike the Dwarves of the Hammerlands, the Frost Elfs live high upon the Snowpeak Mountains in the blistering cold.
