Half-Jotun are the distant offspring of the mighty Jotun. They retain a fraction of the size of their Jotun ancestors, yet still tower over the majority of other races. Incomparable strength and an affinity for ice make them a terrifying physical opponent to face.
Bulky and Bullying
The hulking Half-Jotun are a race of blue-skinned, white-haired humanoids that grow to immense heights. A fully grown Half-Jotun will stand at a height of 11 feet and have a powerful, muscular build to match.
While they are capable of learning magic, they often prefer to rely on their superior strength to smash, grapple and throw smaller creatures around. The long-dead Jotun had an innate connection to ice and the Half-Jotun retained this magical connection in the form of an icy armour that they can manifest.
The Half-Jotun tend to be combative and push smaller, weaker races around using their superior size. This can be done intentionally for some, yet for some Half-Jotun this behaviour is accidental and they don’t realise the way their size affects others.
The Strong Rule and the Weak Walk
Half-Jotun are wandering nomads by nature. Some may choose to work or live under a stronger creature but most prefer to stay on the move, roaming the Realm as a small tribe. Within these tribes, the Half-Jotun look to the strong for leadership and protection. Violent challenges for the position of the leader often occur, with the loser being kicked out of the tribe to wander Frostwoods alone.
