The Children of Loki are the most populated race in the Frostwoods. They have settled across much of the Realm and live in local communities, working together to repel the violent beasts and dangerous nature of the Realm.
Regal and Glacial
Tieflings of the Children of Loki variety are tall humanoids with imposing, upward-facing horns. Their skin hue varies from snow white to dark navy, with their horns typically matching these colours. These horns hold the closest connection to the icy elements of their home Realm, and as such, can often be seen manifesting subtle ice-based effects such as frosting over or releasing a thin mist.
Tiefling usually decorates their horns and bodies with stylish jewellery, often in the form of piercing. They are a proud race and prefer to wear clothing that accentuates this. Despite the hostile nature of Frostwoods, most Tiefling own at least one set of clothing that would be comparable to that of nobles in another Realm, and they wear this outfit as often as fate allows.
The Children of Loki hold themselves respectfully and try to stay elegant in everything they do. Even during battle, they fight with an almost dance-like sophistication. Long sweeping movements and attacks that flow from one to another make for a beautiful display of martial or magical prowess. It’s due to this that the Children of Loki have developed a preference for polearm weapons, such as glaives and halberds.
Spells and Sophistry
Thanks to the blessings of their god, Loki, the Tieflings of Frostwoods are innately gifted in basic magic and illusion. While Loki is certainly a fan of cruel tricks and deadly pranks, the Children of Loki are usually much too proud to play such games. As such, they use their illusions in highly practical ways. Disorientating their foes in combat, outsmarting their prey and surviving deadly situations are some of the typical scenarios in which they will utilise their hereditary magic.
While some Tieflings embrace their magical nature and learn to take their spellcasting further, others will incorporate what magic they have into their martial combat. Whatever choice they make, the Children of Loki are primed to become fearsome warriors and most of the general population of Frostwoods can handle themselves in a fight.
